The cottage is situated on 7 acres of bush land with creek frontage.

If you love peace, tranquillity and wildlife then this is the place for you. Abundant bird life and when walking along the banks of the Gunny Creek, you may spot a Wallaby or two. Paddock can also be used for motorbike riding for the kids.

The Gunbower Creek is a great spot for fishing and in summer it is a popular place for swimming and water skiing.

Murray cod, yellow belly and carp are often caught in the creek. Boats can be launched at the nearby boat ramp, which is just a five minute walk from the cottage. It is currently difficult to fish from the bank of the creek due to the large amount of water lilies growing in the shallow water. But we have installed a fishing jetty nearby to make it easier for visitors without a boat, to fish.

Row boat, canoe and kayak are available for tenants' use at no extra charge. Kids life jackets are supplied. Push bikes are also supplied.

We have good range of DVDs. Also a Wii console with a choice of 50 games available. Many hours of fun for kids. Let us know if you would like to have the Wii, so we can set it up before you arrive.

The Gunbower Creek is lowered from mid May till mid August. A shallow stream flows in the creek at this time of the year. Therefore the mud banks are exposed and it is difficult to get to the water to fish. Fishing is possible ten minutes from Gunbower in the Murray River. Cray fishing is largely done at the river this time of the year. Please contact us if you require further information.

In Gunbower there is a general store, takeaway shop, butcher and a pub for all your food supplies.
