Tolka Cottage is a short walk to the Glenelg River where you can see platypus, kangaroos, wallabies, emus, koalas & over 140 species of birds including the endangered red-tailed black cockatoo. This wildlife haven is located only 1 hours from the Penola/Coonawarra wine region, Mt. Gambier Blue Lakes, Nelson & Portland on the coast and the Hamilton/Grampians region.

Our horse facilities including paddocks, yards & stables make it an ideal location to take your horse on holiday. We are located in the centre of the Wilkin Flora & Fauna Reserve on the banks of the Glenelg River. There are walking & riding trails as well as 4wd access through 3600 hectares of native bush where wildlife abounds. The Reserve is renowned for its orchids & spring wildflowers are a beautiful attraction from August to October.

Tolka Cottage has a formal sitting room & informal sunroom as well as outdoor entertaining area with barbeque. There are 3 bedrooms - 1 queen sized, 1 double and 1 with 2 single beds. We supply luxurious linen, towel, doonas & electric blankets.

All the ingredients for a great country style breakfast are provided including bacon, farm fresh eggs, tomatoes, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, homemade jams & bread, filter coffee and your choice of teas. Picnic hampers & provisions for other meals can be ordered by prior arrangement.
