Moosehead and Reindeer Lodges are not your typical accommodation! With their distinct log cabin feel and western frontier design, staying here certainly is a unique and refreshing experience. It is an undiscovered sanctuary of fresh air, clean spring water, and tranquility in the heart of the forest.

The lodges were built in 1996. Living, dining, and kitchen are in one huge open plan room, which has a big open fireplace and a comfy leather lounge suite. Firewood is supplied and burning upon your arrival in cold weather. A wood box is located adjacent to the fire place, so there is no chopping wood or going out in the cold to bring in fuel.

Solar power provides electricity and gas is used for cooking and the fridge. The water is from a natural spring that originates from a steep highland close by. You will be surprised at how good it tastes! Outside, a partly covered veranda is the place to sit and take in the forest view.

There is a smorgasbord of walks and things to do, or just relax with your family or friends in front of the fire. This is a great place to “get away” and relax, feed the Rosellas, Parrots and Kookaburras during the day and possums at night.
